JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven Softball was ranked No. 14 in the NFCA/Gorout Division III Top 25 Preseason Poll, released Tuesday morning.
The preseason national ranking follows another historic campaign for the Blazers, who finished the 2025 season with a 32-9 overall record and a 14-2 mark in Collegiate Conference of the South play. Belhaven captured its second-ever CCS Tournament Championship and earned a fifth straight berth in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament.
The Blazers return a strong nucleus from last season's championship squad, highlighted by first-team all-conference selections
Reagan Bryan and
Macy Funderburk, along with second-team honoree
Ellie Williamson. Belhaven was also picked second in the 2026 CCS Preseason Poll earlier Monday, earning 59 points and three first-place votes.
Belhaven's postseason run included a conference tournament title after a shutout win over Maryville and a semifinal victory over top-seeded Huntingdon. The Blazers claimed the championship with a 2-0 win before advancing to NCAA Regional play, where they earned a 14-1 victory over Marymount in the Marshall Regional.
Belhaven opens the 2026 season on Tuesday, Feb. 7, hosting LeTourneau in a non-conference doubleheader at home. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
The NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions. Final 2025 records are listed, with first-place votes in parentheses.
