LAGRANGE, GA. - Belhaven Women's Basketball dropped an 89–60 at LaGrange on Thursday evening at Mariotti Gymnasium as the Blazers moved to 12-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
The Blazers stayed competitive early, trailing just 19-15 after the first quarter. Kiersten Hudson scored nine points to pace the Blazers, while Veronica Williams added four points and five assists. LaGrange used a strong second quarter to create separation, outscoring Belhaven 30-17 to take a 49-32 lead into halftime.
The momentum continued for the hosts in the third quarter, as LaGrange extended the advantage with a 29-13 run. Tra'Shaylah Wilson provided a spark off the bench for Belhaven with seven points, while Katelyn Coleman chipped in seven points and three rebounds.
Belhaven closed the game with a solid fourth quarter, holding LaGrange to 11 points while scoring 15. Kyla Farmer added four points in the final period, and the Blazers finished with 30 points in the paint.
The Blazers are back in action next Saturday when the Blazers take on Piedmont. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
