LONGVIEW, Texas - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team picked up a 1-1 draw on the road at LeTourneau on Thursday night after battling back from an early deficit and stayed unbeaten on the early season.
It was the hosts who would open the scoring, with LeTourneau tallying in the first quarter of an hour and putting the Blazers on the back foot. The Blazers would create chances in the first half as they looked to equalize but trailed headed into the half.
On the other side of the break, Belhaven continued to mount pressure in search of an equalizer and finally found the breakthrough in the 78th minute when
Wesley Bloodworth opened his account for the new season.Â
The goal helped Belhaven to a draw despite both teams finishing the match in double digit shot attempts and the Blazers racking up seven shots on target.
Belhaven will continue their weekend road trip in Texas as they head to Marshall to face off against East Texas Baptist on Saturday. Kickoff against the Tigers is set for 3:00 PM.
