JACKSON - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team picked up a 0-0 draw against LeTourneau on Wednesday at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium as they continue the early stages of their season.

The Blazers maintained control of the early part of the match but were unable to find clear cut chances. Belhaven generated a couple of shots on target with the first coming on a long-range shot on a free kick.

Scoreless at the half time interval, the visitors upped their pressure early in the second half and generated the better of the scoring opportunities in the early minutes. Goalkeeper Addi Roberts picked up a couple of early saves and was not troubled much in her 45 minutes of action.

As the match wore down, Belhaven found their momentum with Emma Antonoplos and Kinsey Carter at the heart of multiple high-danger attacks for the Blazers. In the final 20 minutes, Micah Benson tallied a pair of shots on frame but the Blazers were unable to find the needed breakthrough.

The draw keeps Belhaven unbeaten across their first two matches of the season and with their first road trip on the horizon. The Blazers will head to Marshall, Texas for a pair of neutral site matches against Southwestern and University of St. Thomas.
