GREENSBORO, N.C. - A trio of Belhaven Blazers were named among the ABCA Rawlings Division III All-Region VI teams as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Kade May, Tristan Pearson and JD Weed all earned All-Region recognition following their impressive campaigns for the Blazers' baseball program.

Kade May was named to the All-Region VI Second Team as a pitcher, earning the first ABCA All-Region nod of his career and his second All-Region selection for this season having been named to D3baseball.com's All-Region VI First Team earlier this week. May had a career-year for the Blazers, finishing the campaign with an 8-2 record across 14 starts and 15 total appearances. May finished the season with a 2.46 ERA across 98.2 innings pitched and racked up four complete games including one complete game shutout.

Tristan Pearson was named to the ABCA All-Region VI Second Team as a utility player, the first ABCA All-Region nod of his Belhaven career. Pearson was a do-it-all guy for the Blazers this season helping lead them to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Pearson finished the season with a .391 average and a 1.002 OPS, the latter of which led the Blazers' lineup. Spending time at first base and in right field this season, Pearson was a fixture in the lineup and was one of the national leaders in on-base percentage at .542 working up 60 free passes (walks and HBP) to just 27 strikeouts.

JD Weed rounds out the Blazers' ABCA Rawlings All-Region selections, earning a spot on the All-Region Third Team as an outfielder. Weed had a standout season in his first campaign with the Blazers hitting .316 with a .914 OPS. Weed racked up a team-high 21 extra-base hits with 10 doubles, five triples and six home runs, the latter two leading the Blazers overall. The Terry native also drove in 40 runs on the year while swiping a team-leading 16 bases on 19 attempts. Weed also was sparkling defensively, not committing an error this spring on 69 total chances.
