PEARL, Miss. - The Belhaven Baseball team picked up their first series sweep in conference action this year as they took down Covenant on Saturday in a thrilling 7-6 victory after knocking off the Scots twice on Friday.
Covenant would strike first in the weekend finale, plating a pair of runs in the first inning. Belhaven answered though, taking advantage of a defensive error by the visitors and getting a big, RBI triple from 
Hayden Roberts.
The Scots retook the lead in the second with a sac fly and then added two more on a home run in the third, putting Belhaven down 5-2. The Blazers would respond again though, plating a pair of runs in the bottom half of the third inning including one on Roberts' second RBI extra-base hit of the game.
Tristan Pearson delivered an RBI single to tie the game in the sixth before the Blazers went on to take the lead later in the frame as 
Josh Neutze doubled in a pair of runs. 
Gunner Staten would come on in relief late and seal the victory for the Blazers who improved to 17-9 on the season.

Next up for the Blazers is Game Two of the 2025 Cowboy Maloney Series against Millsaps. The Blazers will welcome the Majors to Trustmark Park on Tuesday, April 1st looking to even up the season series.
