JACKSON - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team picked up a dominant win over Tougaloo on Tuesday by a historic 15-0 scoreline at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
Courtland Williams opened the scoring just two minutes in with a strong finish on a cutback pass from
Graham Harris before turning provider and setting up strike partner
Louie Richard for the Blazers' second goal inside five minutes.
Aiden Paz grabbed Belhaven's third in the 18th minute and kicked off a three goal frenzy across three and a half minutes with
Carlos Loza and
Noah Leibe also getting their names on the scoresheet. In the 37th minute,
Anthony Gaspard got his first career goal while
John-Mark Steele and
CJ Cruit each found the back of the net in the final minutes of the half and sent Belhaven into the break leading 8-0.
On the other side of the half time interval,
Aiden Paz secured his brace with a 53rd minute goal.
Gabe Vazquez then would record a hat trick in the span of two minutes and forty-four seconds as he tallied in the 56th minute, 58th minute and 59th minute.
Aidan Holcombe found the back of the net in the 63rd minute and
Joshua Ibrahim grabbed a goal in the 77th minute before Belhaven capped off the night with Steele's second goal of the night. The win marks the largest margin of victory in program history and the 2nd highest single-game goal tally trailing only the Blazers' 18-7 victory at Trevecca Nazarene in November of 2000.
