JACKSON — The Belhaven Women's Volleyball team earned a strong home win on Wednesday night, defeating Mississippi University for Women 3-1 (7-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17) inside Charles R. Rugg Arena.

After a slow start in the opening set, the Blazers responded with three dominant sets to secure their seventh win of the season.

MUW controlled the first set from start to finish, hitting .333 while limiting Belhaven to just four kills. From there, the Blazers flipped the script, capitalizing on defensive pressure and strong net play. They outscored MUW 75-54 in the final three sets.

Rylee White led the way with 10 kills and seven blocks in a great two-way performance. Megan LaCour added six kills and a team-best 15 digs. Kylarr Martin chipped in with five kills and two blocks while Maggie Joy Tomlin provided a late spark with two kills on .400 hitting.

The Blazers host a doubleheader over the weekend beginning at noon against Asbury and 4:00 PM vs. Agnes Scott.
