MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team suffered a tough defeat on the road against Maryville College over the weekend, falling 4-1 in the CCS opener.
After the early stages of the game were even, the hosts struck first with a goal in the 28th minute from a corner kick. Maryville then doubled their lead five minutes later before tallying a third just before the half.Â
Following Maryville adding a fourth early in the second half,
Jenny Satcher provided the Blazers' lone goal on the day as she volleyed in a cross from
Lexi Green in the 83rd minute, her second goal of the campaign.Â
The Blazers will look to bounce back on Tuesday as they host Huntingdon at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium in conference action. Kickoff against the Hawks is set for 5:00 PM in Jackson.Â
