MEMPHIS - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team fell short in Tuesday's non-conference match against Rhodes by a final score of 1-0.
It was a defensive match for a majority of the 90 minutes on Tuesday as the Blazers were able to get just one shot off in the first half. The hosts found the breakthrough in the 43rd minute to take a 1-0 advantage into the half.
Belhaven had a couple of chances in the final 20 minutes to draw level but were turned away as Rhodes held on for the victory.
Danny Bahena recorded three saves for the Blazers, while
Ciaran Colvin tallied Belhaven's lone shot on target.
The Blazers are set to begin Collegiate Conference of the South play on Saturday when they travel to Maryville. Start time is slated for 1:00 PM.
