JACKSON - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team sailed past the University of the Ozarks on Saturday by a final of 6-0.
Lauren Snell collected a hat trick to lead the Blazers' impressive offensive attack.
Snell opened up the scoring with a goal off of a deflected shot from
Jenny Satcher in the 27th minute.
Micah Benson added to the Blazers' first half lead after finding the back of the net on a header off of a cross from
Emma Miller.
After
Emma Antonoplos was taken down in the box,
Lexi Green knocked home the penalty kick to put Belhaven up 3-0 in the 60th minute. Antonoplos cashed in herself just five minutes later to extend the Blazers' advantage to four.
Snell found the back of the net once again in the 78th minute before adding another in the 80th to secure the hat trick and push Belhaven's lead to 6-0. It was dominant win for the Blazers who improved to 2-2-0 on the season.Â
The Blazers return to the pitch on Tuesday for a home match against MUW. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 PM.
