JACKSON - The Belhaven Volleyball team opened up the Millsaps Invitational on Friday, falling 3-0 to the Majors in what is the first of three matches this weekend for the Blazers.

Belhaven went toe-to-toe with the Majors in the first set as they kept the set within a point early on. However, the Majors then went on a 19-10 run to finish out the first set and take the early lead.

The Blazers started the second set in similar fashion as they raced to an 8-4 start against the Majors. Despite the great start, the Majors then went on a 21-10 run to finish out the set. Down 2-0, the Blazers weren't able to overcome the deficit and fell 25-11 in the third and final set of the day.

Belhaven will return to action on Saturday at the Millsaps Invitational as they take on McMurry and Austin College. The first match of the day for the Blazers is set for 12:00 PM.
