ATLANTA, Ga. - Belhaven Softball pulled in a clean sweep of the Softball Weekly Awards for the Collegiate Conference of the South as announced by the league on Monday. Allie Gordon earned the Player of the Week recognition, Kennedy Carruth earned the Pitcher of the Week award and Macy Funderburk was named Rookie of the Week.

Allied Gordon earned the CCS Player of the Week award after a stellar weekend at the plate in what was an 8-0 stretch for the Blazers. The Macon, Georgia native went 12-24 (.500) with a double, four home runs and 15 RBI leading a Blazers' offense that outscored opposition 67-11 over that stretch. On the year, Gordon is hitting .431 with a team-leading five home runs, 1.206 OPS and 26 RBI, which sits among the national leaders in Division III.

Kennedy Carruth was named the CCS Pitcher of the Week after going 4-0 in the circle for the Blazers in four starts. Carruth tallied 24.0 total innings across the week and allowed just three earned runs on ten hits while striking out 37 batters. Her highlight performance in the circle came in a 4-1 win over Washington College where she struck out 15 and allowed just one run in a compete seven inning start. Carruth also went 14-23 at the plate over the week with three doubles and a pair of home runs. On the year, Carruth is 10-1 with a 0.95 ERA and 0.78 WHIP. She currently leads the nation with a 102 strikeouts total.

Macy Funderburk earned her first CCS recognition as she was named Rookie of the Week following a strong display in the circle for the Blazers. Funderburk made three appearances including a pair of starts for the Blazers, throwing 11.0 innings combined and allowing zero runs. The Louisiana native allowed just four hits and struck out 19 across the stretch continuing to build on an impressive first year campaign. On the year, Funderburk is 2-0 in four appearances and has yet to allow a run in 12.0 innings pitched. She has 19 strikeouts and opponents are hitting just .100 against the right-hander.
