MOUNT BERRY, Ga.- The Belhaven Baseball Team fell on the road Friday afternoon to Berry in the second day of the Berry Invitational 9-6.Â
The Blazers got off to a quick start as
Noah Foster scored on a past ball to give Belhaven a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Unfortunately for Belhaven, the hosts responded with a grand slam and two more runs in the bottom of the second to take a 6-1 lead.
After a quiet few innings,
Owen Abney revitalized the Blazers in the top of the fifth as the Madison, Mississippi native hit a grand slam to bring the Blazers to within one. The visitors answered quickly with three more runs to extend their lead by four. The Blazers would score one more run in the bottom of the eighth with a
Noah Foster RBI, but would ultimately fall short by a final score of 9-6.Â
