BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Belhaven Track and Field programs continue their record-setting start to indoor season with two more individual records falling today at the Bulldog Open hosted by Samford University.
Syniah Sims set a new program best mark in the Women's 200 Meters at 25.63 seconds, besting the previous high mark by nearly half a second. Sims has now set two individual records through the first three indoor meets of her career, holding the high mark in the 60 Meters as well.
Kelsey Singleton broke his own record in the Men's 400 Meters on Saturday with a time of 49.63 Meters at the Bulldog Open, surpassing his previous record-setting mark of 49.71 seconds which he set on January 20th at the Samford Open.
In other results,
Makaleb Crowley posted a top 10 finish in the Men's Triple Jump with a distance of 11.13 meters.
Justice Moore hit a new personal best in the Men's 200 Meters with a time of 22.31 seconds which landed him a top 15 placement.
D'Asia Franklin landed a top 20 finish in the Women's High Jump with a personal best distance of 1.45 meters.
The Blazers continue their campaign next Saturday as they travel to Tennessee to compete in the Sewanee Invitational.
