DEMOREST, Ga. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team lost a close conference match on Wednesday as they fell to Piedmont in Georgia by a 2-1 scoreline.
The Blazers and Lions got off to a frenetic start with the hosts opening the scoring in the 6th minute to take an early lead. Belhaven answered back quickly as winger

Even after just eight minutes, the scoreline stayed level at the halftime interval despite the Blazers holding a 7-3 shot advantage. The second half would continue in a similarly even until the 73rd minute when grabbed the match-winning goal.
The Blazers will look to bounce back quickly as they are set for a return to conference action tomorrow against Wesleyan. Kickoff against the Wolves is set for 4:00 PM in Georgia.
