JACKSON, Miss.- The Belhaven Men's Soccer team suffered defeat at home at the hands of the Rhodes Lynx. 

The opening minutes were a back and forth affair between both teams. At the 12th minute mark, Wesley Bloodworth got the Blazers on the board with a great goal assisted by Julian Carriera. Rhodes responded in the 41st minute to tie the match at one heading into the second half. 

The second half started out great for the Blazers as Jacob Requilman netted an impressive goal in the 46th minute. Rhodes answered in just mere seconds with a goal in the 47th minute to tie the Blazers. Rhodes would go on to capitalize on their quick offense with another goal in the 51st minute. The Blazers fought hard but would ultimately fall short. 

The Blazers fall to 4-2-2 on the year. Belhaven will look to respond in their conference home opener against the Maryville Scots Saturday September 30. The match will begin at 2:00 PM.
