CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team were bested for the first time in 2023 as the Blazers dropped a 2-0 decision at Ozarks on Wednesday afternoon. Belhaven now sits at 3-1-2 on the campaign.
The Blazers out-shot Ozarks 14-12 for the match, but it was the hosts from Clarksville who got on the board first in the 31
st minute to take a lead into the half. A second goal in the 71
st made it 2-0 in favor of the Eagles.
Belhaven had a couple of late goal-scoring opportunities but could not find the net. Five of the Blazers' 14 shots were on target while goalkeeper
Max Rudolph picked up four saves for a third-straight match.
The Blazers return to the pitch on Saturday, September 23rd when they battle Berea to open Collegiate Conference of the South play. Kickoff is set for 10:00 AM CT.
