MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Belhaven Softball team is set to play in their second-straight NCAA Super Regional after sweeping through the Marshall Regional a weekend ago.

The Blazers were a perfect 3-0 in last weekend's Marshall Regional. Belhaven overcame a late deficit to beat 2-seed Texas Lutheran 2-1 to advance to the winner's bracket. Friday's 4-0 win over #6 East Texas Baptist sent the Blazers to the regional final where they would once again defeat Texas Lutheran by a score of 2-1. 

Belhaven heads to Mount Berry, Georgia to take on #2 Berry College after the Vikings advanced out of the Belton Regional as the top seed. Berry took down Mary Hardin-Baylor in a winner-take-all final, 3-2, to punch their ticket to the Super Regionals.

Keeping up with the theme from a weekend ago, Berry is yet another familiar foe for the Blazers. The two squads matched up back in a February doubleheader to kick off the 2023 season for Belhaven. The Vikings took the opener in extras before the Blazers won the nightcap 6-1.

SUPER REGIONAL FORMAT

The best-of-three series begins Friday, May 26th at 1:00 PM CT. Game Two is slated for 12:00 PM CT on Saturday. If necessary, a decisive Game Three will follow at 2:30 PM CT. The series' winner punches their ticket to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship, set for June 1-7 in Marshall, Texas.
