ROME, Ga. - The Belhaven Men's Tennis team picked up a dominant 5-0 win over 6th-seeded LaGrange in Thursday's CCS First Round match at the Rome Tennis Center. With the win, the 3-seed Blazers advance to Friday's Semifinal match against 2-seed Piedmont.
Gaspar Meda and
Bryce Livingston earned an 8-3 victory in the top Doubles match, while
Abraham Gonzalez and
Justin Humphrey cruised to an 8-2 win in the No. 2 Doubles.
Mark Matviiev and
Jason Ball won 8-2 to secure the doubles sweep for the Blazers.
Justin Humphrey defeated his Panther counterpart 6-1, 6-0 to seal Belhaven's fourth win of the day. Needing just one win to secure the victory,
Gaspar Meda blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0 to send the Blazers to the Semifinals.
The Blazers and Lions are set to start at 10:00 AM ET on Friday with a spot in the CCS Championship match on the line.
