COLUMBUS, Miss. - The Belhaven Men's and Women's Tennis teams grabbed their second wins of the season over MUW on Tuesday as they each completed the season sweep over the in-state rivals.

WOMEN'S 

On the Women's side of the action the Blazers took down the Mississippi University for Women 5-4, a matching final line to what the two teams played out a week ago. In doubles competition Asia Robinson and Lillian Williams won their matchup 8-4 while Judith Mills and Evey Moore combined for 8-3 victory. The Blazers took a loss in the final doubles matchup due to forfeit. Meanwhile, in singles play, Judith Mills got another win as she took the top matchup. Lillian Williams and Asia Robinson each also grabbed wins to help the Blazers over the line against the W.

MEN'S 

The Men once again cruised to a 9-0 victory over MUW, marking the second 9-0 win for them over the Owls this season. In doubles play Bryce Livingston and Jordan Paul combined for an 8-1 win in the top matchup while Mark Matviiev and Jason Ball won 8-1. Hayden Lassiter and Cainan Black combined to round out the trio of doubles wins for the Belhaven men. 

In singles play Bryce Livingston took the top matchup 6-0, 6-0 while Mark Matviiev won the first set of his match 6-0 before his opponent retired. Jason Ball took his matchup 6-1, 6-0, Jordan Paul won his 6-0, 6-1, Hayden Lassiter won his 6-1, 6-0 and Cainan Black won his 6-2, 6-3. 

The Blazers' tennis teams will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Georgia to compete against LaGrange College. The matches against the Panthers are set for 11 AM.
