COLUMBUS, Miss. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team grabbed their 11th win of the year, the most for the program since 2008, on Tuesday as they took down MUW 2-0 with a road clean sheet victory.

The Blazers would have to wait to get their opener as the both teams struggled to find a breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes. Despite Belhaven creating six shots and three on target, the score was scoreless at the half time whistle.

Shortly after the start of the second half however Belhaven would get their well-deserved opener as Kaci Craft fired home her team-leading 10th goal of the season and Emma Antonoplos picked up her fourth assist of the year. 

Craft's goal came in the 49th minute and it would not take long for Belhaven to get their second as Hayley Ruckle picked up her second goal of the year in the 62nd minute and gave the Blazers a commanding 2-0 lead. 

It would prove to be a comfortable non-conference victory for the Blazers as they enter their final weekend of regular season conference play. Belhaven now sits at 11-3-1 and 6-1 in the CCS. Belhaven still sits at the top of the CCS standings and hold a possibility of taking home the regular season conference title. 

The Blazers return to action on Saturday, October 21st when they host Wesleyan College in the final regular season CCS match. Kickoff against the Wolves is set for 5:00 PM and will cap an eventful homecoming Saturday at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
