CONWAY, Ark. – The Belhaven University men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Hendrix College in a midweek contest on Wednesday afternoon. The Blazers move to 3-4-3 overall and 0-1 in CCS play.

The Blazers and Warriors went head to head for the entire first half of play as neither team could find the back of the net in the first 45 minutes of play. At the halftime break, Belhaven and Hendrix were knotted up at 0-0.

The hosts found the back of the net in the 64^th minute for the first goal of the match. Eight minutes later, the Warriors extended their lead to 2-0. Hendrix tacked on two additional goals within four minutes of each other. The Blazers had a chance late in the contest, but could not find the back of the net. The Blazers fell to the Warriors 4-0 in non-conference play.

As a team, the Blazers had nine shots in the contest and six shots were on-goal. Danny Bahena registered 80:54 minutes in goal for the Blazers, while Brandon Caleb Thompson finished the remaining minutes of the match as goalkeeper.

The Blazers will return to action on Saturday, October 1st against Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CT.
