JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven University women's soccer team drew a tie with Centenary College as neither team scored a goal in the contest on Tuesday afternoon inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. It is the second tie of the season for the Blazers. With the draw, the Blazers move to 2-1-2 on the season.
The Blazers struggled in the first half as they only registered one shot. Neither team could find the back of the net in the first half as the score was 0-0 at the halftime break. The Blazers picked up the pace and posted 11 shots in the next 45 minutes of play, but did not record a goal. After 90 minutes of play, the score remained a 0-0 tie.
The Blazers outshot the Ladies 12-5 in the contest and totaled five shots on-goal.
Emma Antonoplos led the Blazers with three shots in the match with two of them being on-goal.
Julianne Wilson posted 90 minutes in goal and collected two saves.
Belhaven will return to action on Saturday, September 17 against The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
