JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven University Men's Basketball team earned a 72-69 victory over the University of the Ozarks Eagles on Senior Day. Ro Ratliff, 
Nehemiah Womack, and Terence Anderson Jr. were the three seniors that were honored before the men's game. With the win, the Blazers improver to 8-10 overall and 5-9 in conference play. 
The Blazers led early on in the first quarter as BU went 3-for-5 to start the game from behind the arc. The Green and Gold and Eagles exchanged the leads multiple times throughout the first half, but Belhaven held the slight advantage over the Eagles to take the 35-34 lead going into the halftime break.
The Eagles led by as many as nine points in the second half and led for the majority of it. The Blazers regained the lead with 3:28 remaining in regulation. Belhaven held on to the lead for the rest of the contest to earn the 72-69 victory over the Eagles on Senior Day.
Matthew McMillan led the Green and Gold with 21 points, shot 5-for-7 from behind the arc, and went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Ratliff finished the game with 11 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, while 
Luke Couch had nine points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Blazers shot 37.9 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line.
The Blazers will return to action on Thursday, February 17 with a contest with the University of Mary Hardin- Baylor Cru in Belton, Texas. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
