Box Score SHREVEPORT, La. – The Belhaven Men's Basketball team wrapped up their early non-conference slate at Centenary Friday night, dropping a 75-51 decision to the Gents.
The Gents jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead by way of the three-ball heading into the first media timeout. The Blazers responded with a run of their own to draw within two after a
Judah Jordan three, but Centenary scored the game's next 20 points to take control.
Jordan Marshall's basket with 4:07 left in the half snapped an almost nine-minute scoring drought for the Blazers. Centenary continued to stay hot from beyond the arc, shooting 45.5% from three in the first 20 minutes to take a 42-17 halftime lead.
The Blazers outscored the Gents 34-33 in the second half, but it wasn't enough as Centenary wrapped up a 75-51 win.
Judah Jordan paced Belhaven with 13 points to go along with three boards and three assists.
Martavin McWilliams finished in double figures as well, adding 12 points and seven rebounds on the night.
Belhaven will look to get back into the win column Tuesday, December 13th when Piedmont comes to Rugg Arena for the CCS opener. Tipoff is set for 4 PM.
