ATLANTA, Ga. -
Jordan Marshall of the Belhaven Men's Basketball team earned the Player of the Week nod for the Collegiate Conference of the South on Monday, his second of the season.
Marshall played a crucial role for the Blazers last week who went 2-0 including grabbing a win in the first CCS game of the season. Marshall finished the two-game stretch averaging 20.0 point per game along with 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists as Belhaven climbed above .500 on the year ahead of the Christmas break.
The sophomore led the Blazers with 29 points in Belhaven's 72-60 victory over Southeastern Baptist on Friday while shooting 9-20 from the field and also pulling down five rebounds. Marshall now leads the Blazers and the Collegiate Conference of the South in scoring, averaging 23.7 points per game. Marshall adds to his scoring prowess by pulling down 5.6 rebounds per game and providing 2.1 assists.
Marshall and the Blazers return to action after the holidays with a trip to rival Millsaps on Thursday, December 29th.
