LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Belhaven University men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw in Collegiate Conference of the South action. The Blazers and Scots battled right down to the final whistle. With the draw, the Blazers move to 4-5-4 on the season, earning their fourth draw on the season.
The Blazers and Scots exchanged possessions for the majority of the first half, but the Scots outshot the Blazers 10-3 in the first 45 minutes of play. The Scots had an opportunity to score late in the first half, but
Danny Bahena earned his third save of the contest to keep the score scoreless at the break.
Coming out of the halftime break, the Blazers failed to get a shot on goal until the 69
th minute. The Blazers' defense held strong for the rest of the contest as Belhaven picked up another scoreless draw.
As a team, the Blazers had eight shots in the contest with two of them being on-goal.
Danny Bahena got the start in-goal for the Blazers and registered six saves in the match.
The Blazers return to action on Wednesday, October 12th against the Huntingdon College Hawks in Collegiate Conference of the South play. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
