JACKSON, Miss.- The Belhaven University Women's Soccer Team succeeded on opening day of the 2021-2022 season against Birmingham Southern College. The Blazers came away with a 2-0 victory on the pitch over the Panthers on Saturday 4, 2021.

The Blazers found the back of the net first in match as Anna Crane scored in the 30th minute, while she also led the team in shots attempted and shots on goal. Abby Goff scored off of a corner kick in the second half to put the Blazers up 2-0.

The Blazers took 13 shots for the match, with eight of them being on goal, while goalkeeper Julianne Wilson saved three shots in goal out of only five shots allowed.

Belhaven will return to action on Tuesday, September 7, at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, at 3:30.
