JACKSON, MS- The Blazers faced off against the Hardin-Simmons University Cowgirls in a defensive battle. The reigning American Southwest Conference champions Cowgirls scored the only goal of the day in the seventh minute, and walked away with their first conference victory.

During the first half Michaela Sabrsula found the back of the net on the only shot the Cowgirls were allowed, meanwhile, the Blazers were only allowed three shots taken by
Anna Crane,
Sybil Roberson, and
Emily Easterling, but were all unsuccessful.

In the second half Belhaven and Hardin-Simmons were held up by each others defense and could only get an overall total of six shots during the half which made for a close match up.

The Green and Gold will be back in action on Saturday against McMurry University kick off at 11 AM.
