LONGVIEW, Texas - The Belhaven University Women's Soccer team continued thei 2021 Spring Season with a road contest against LeTourneau University on Saturday, March 20. The Blazers beat the YellowJackets on the pitch by a final of 1-0.

The game saw no score through the first half despite the Blazers firing off eight shots, while the YellowJackets accounted for two shots in the half. Kyla Shaw broke the scoreless tie in the second half with her fourth goal of the season in the 80th minute and the Blazers faced just one shot for the final ten minutes to seal the win. The Blazers had a total of 13 shots with eight on-goal, while the YellowJackets had six shots and none were on-goal. The Blazers earned their second straight shutout victory and third of the season.

The Blazers improve 4-1 overall and in ASC play and will return to action hosting East Texas Baptist University on Tuesday, March 23. The Blazers and Tigers will kick off the action on the pitch at 5:30 p.m.
