JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven Women's Basketball team picked up their first conference win of the season Saturday knocking off McMurry University 66-51 in Rugg Arena.

BU took their lead to a six point advantage but still trailed by a pair at the half.Â
In the second half the Blazers were able to gain a firmer grip on the game and opened up a seven point lead early in the third quarter. Heading into the fourth and final quarter Belahven led by five and less than two minutes into the fourth quarter extended their lead to 10 points, the first double-digit lead of the game. The Blazers continued to pull away late and wrapped up an important first ASC victory.Â
