CONWAY, Ark. - The Belhaven Women's Soccer team fell 1-0 to Hendrix College on Wednesday after traveling to Conway, Ark. for their final regular season road match of the season.
The hosts took an early lead in the game scoring just over 11 minutes into the first half. The Blazers fought to find a way back into the game and generated consistent chances throughout. Despite not finding a breakthrough, Belhaven out shot the hosts 11-7 across the 90 minutes and were able to generate five shots on target.
Goalkeep
Julianne Wilson made four saves in the match while
Laela Evans led the Blazers with three shot attempts.
With the loss, Belhaven falls to 9-7-1 overall on the season and maintains a 4-5-1 record in conference play.
The Blazers will finish up their regular season on Friday at home against Mississippi University for Women. Kickoff against the Owls is set for 5 PM with Senior Night recognition set to take place in between the Women's and Men's matches.
