LONGVIEW, Texas - The Belhaven University volleyball team fell in four sets on Monday evening against the LeTourneau University Yellowjackets in American Southwest Conference play.
The Blazers fell behind early on in the first set to make the score 10-9 with the Yellowjackets holding on to the slight advantage. LeTourneau's offense held strong in the first set to take the 25-16 set victory.
In the second set, the Blazers and Yellowjackets went back and forth for the majority of the match. The set came down to the wire late, but LeTourneau prevailed to take the 25-23 set victory.
With Belhaven being down two sets to none, the Blazers knew that the third set was a must win set. Belhaven led LeTourneau in the opening stages of the third set, but the Yellowjackets rallied to take the 20-16 lead.
