JACKSON, Miss - The Belhaven Blazers (5 - 7 - 1) drop a conference overtime contest against the Universiity of the Ozarks Eagles (7 - 6 - 1) by a final score of 1-0.
 
Conference matchups are inevitably toss-ups. These crucial matchups are decided by one moment throughout the game. The Blazers battled against the ASC foes till the last whistle. Unfortunately, the result fell into the favor of the opposition.
 
The Blazers and Eagles worked tirelessly for momentum and possession going forward. Both teams were drilled in defensively as the scales were balanced. Unable to find a winner in regulation, this hard-fought battle depended on overtime for the decider.
 
In the 96th minute, the pendulum swung into the favor of the Ozarks as they scored the winner in heartbreaking fashion on the behalf of the Blazers.
 
The Blazers fell to (3 - 5) in ASC play, while the Ozarks improve to (4 - 4 - 1) as they upset Belhaven 1-0.
 
The Blazers will return to action on Saturday, October 23 inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium at 4:30pm to face off against the University of Texas at Dallas Comets to decide seeding for postseason play.
