AUSTIN, Texas – The Belhaven University men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat to American Southwest Conference opponent Concordia on Thursday evening in conference play.
The Tornados found the back of the net first in the match in the 10 minute to give CTX the early 1-0 advantage. The Blazers could not stop the strong offensive attack from the Tornados as they netted another goal five minutes later. CTX would extend the lead to 3-0 in the 33rd minute to take a commanding lead. Concordia would add one more goal just before the whistle for halftime. The Tornados added another goal in the second half to give them the 5-0 victory over the Blazers.
Aberlardo Sanchez finished the match with two shots, while Aleksander Harris, Adrian Eaglin, and Tristan White each added a shot in the contest. Keeper Max Rudolph finished the match with six saves.
The Blazers will return to action on Saturday afternoon against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Cru in Belton, Texas. Kickoff is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
