JACKSON, Miss. - After wrapping up the Senior Spotlights for a spring sports, we look back on our fall student-athletes, and the impacts they had on their respective Belhaven teams. Our next Men's Basketball player to be recognized is Kelvin Pruitt.

Pruitt is in his second season as a member of the Belhaven Men's Basketball program, joining the team during the 2018-19 season. The senior plans medical redshirt and play his final season for the Blazers in the 2020-21 season.

In his time with the Blazers, Pruitt has played in 29 games for the Green and Gold and averaged 18.3 minutes per game. The Memphis, Tenn. native shot 54.4 percent from the field and averaged 9.0 points per game. The USC Salkehatchie transfer shot 58.8 percent from the charity stripe and grabbed 106 rebounds.

His 2019-20 season was cut short due to an injury, but in seven games he averaged 19.3 minutes per game. Pruitt also shot 61.4 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the free throw line. Additionally, he averaged 9.4 points per game.
