RICHARDSON, Texas - The Belhaven men's Basketball team had a trio of players named to the American Southwest Conference Preseason Watch List on Wednesday. The athletes named for the Blazers were
Kelvin Pruitt,
Luke Couch and
Matthew McMillan.
Pruitt, a senior guard from Memphis, is entering his third season with the Belhaven program. Across his career he's played in 29 games and averaged 8.8 points per game. Pruitt also is averaging 3.7 rebounds per game across his career.
Couch, a sophomore guard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, is looking to build off an impressive first season with the Blazers in 2019-20 where he finished second on the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game. In 24 games last year, Couch shot 39.5% from behind the three point line and was named to the ASC Second Team All-East Division and also named East Division Freshman of the Year.
McMillan joins the trio recognized for the Blazers after a strong freshman campaign last season. A sophomore from Martin, Tennessee, McMillan played in 23 games for the Blazers last season and averaged 6.3 points per game on 41.5% shooting from three.
