JACKSON, Miss. - The Blazers Men's Soccer team continued their strong start to the season as they played host to the Hendrix College Warriors in the Belhaven Bowl Stadium on Friday night and the Blazers left the pitch with a 3-0 victory.

Neither team scored in the first half as both sides combined for eight shots, six for the Blazers and two for the Warriors. The Blazers broke the scoreless tie in the 68th minute as junior forward Brendan Koehn found the back of the net with an assist from freshman midfielder Jacob Requilman giving the Blazers the 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later, junior midfielder James Dempsey scorched a goal into the net with an assist from Koehn to give the Blazers a 2-0 lead.

The final goal for the Blazers came in the 75th minute as junior forward Dalton Morgan blasted the ball by the Warriors goalkeeper after Koehn placed a corner kick into the middle of the box for the Blazers, sealing the 3-0 victory.

The Blazers improve to 2-0 on the season and will return to action hosting Pensacola Christian College on Thursday, September 12, at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium. The game is set for 7 p.m.
