ABILENE, Texas - The Belhaven Blazers were on the road for the second straight American Southwest Conference game as they face off against the Hardin-Simmons Univeristy Cowboys and the Cowboys came away with a 3-0 win on the pitch on Saturday, September 28.

Jacob Gonzales and Mackenson Cadet scored in the 15th and 16th minutes respectively, to give the Cowboys an early lead while Caziah Yame added the final goal in the 69th minute.

Junior midfielder Ian Requilman and junior forward Brendan Koehn each registered one shot during the match, while freshman midfielder Zachary Mouton accounted for two shots. Freshman goalkeeper Max Rudolph had four saves during the match.

The Blazers return to action this week with a pair of home contests against the Howard Payne University Yellow Jackets on Thursday, October 3, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m., and then against the Sul Ross State University Lobos on Saturday, October 5 with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.
