THE RUNDOWN
JACKSON, Miss.- The Belhaven University baseball team was swept by the Louisiana College Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at Smith Wills Stadium in ASC play.
The Wildcats scored the first run of the game when Noakes doubled down the left field line to score Johnson from first base.
For the majority of the contest it seemed to be a pitcher's duel as
Justin Milam and Robinson battled head-to-head.
In the top of the seventh inning, Brady Atkins came through for the Wildcats with a 2-run RBI single just underneath the glove of the diving first baseman. LC took the 3-0 advantage over the Blazers after seven complete innings.
The Wildcats tacked on four additional runs in the eighth inning, after some miscues from the Blazer Defense to give Louisiana College a 7-0 lead over Belhaven.
The Blazers could not plate a run in the contest, as they would ultimately fall by a final score of 7-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
Julyan Urena,
