PINEVILLE, La. - The Belhaven Men's Soccer team picked up a 1-0 win against Louisiana College on Friday, the Blazers final regular season match of the season.
With the win, Belhaven finishes out the 2019 regular season with a record of 11-5-1, their first winning record since 2015, and 5-5-1 in conference play. The Blazers finish 7th in the ASC standings, clinching a spot in the ASC Championship Tournament with the win.
In the win over Louisiana College, sophomore
Adam Roberson scored the lone goal in the 41st minute off an assist from
Tristan White. Belhaven outshot the Wildcats 16-7 in the match with seven of the Blazers' shots on target. Freshman goalkeeper
Max Rudolph made five saves on the night.
To finish up the season, the Blazers won three of their final four matches.
Brendan Koehn finished the season as the regular season goal leader for Belhaven with nine while
Dalton Morgan finished the season with seven goals. Senior
Nathan Ratzlaff led Belhaven with seven assists and
Max Rudolph accumulated 78 saves on the year.
The Blazers will start the ASC Championship Tournament at #2 Concordia University (TX) on Tuesday, November 5th. Kickoff time for the match has not yet been announced.
