Austin, Texas - The Belhaven University Men's Soccer team saw their 2019 season come to an end with a 3-2 defeat on the road against the Concordia Tornadoes in the ASC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 5.
The Tornadoes jumped out to an early lead as Xavier Polk beat Blazers freshman goalkeeper
Max Rudolph in the third minute to give Concordia a 1-0 lead; however, the Blazers then scored two goals in 15 minutes both coming from junior forward
Dalton Morgan who found the back of the net in the 19th minute and then once again in the 34th minute with an assist from junior midfielder
Ian Requilman to take a 2-1 lead. The Blazers held that lead going into the locker rooms at halftime.
Concordia once again wasted no time coming out of the half scoring in the 49th minute as Bernabe Torres found the back of the net to knot up the match at 2 apiece, and the final goal for the Tornadoes came from Victor Gomez in the 60th minute. Despite a strong effort from the Blazers, an equalizer would not be found sealing the 3-2 victory for the Tornadoes.

Ian Requilman, sophomore defender
Rhys Howells, sophomore midfielders
Adam Roberson and Keegan McEwan accounting for four shots in addition to the two shots by
Dalton Morgan with four being on goal, while Rudolph made eight saves facing 23 shots with 11 on goal throughout the match.
The Blazers finish the season in postseason play, making the ASC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament in their first season of postseason eligibility, with an overall record of 11-6-1 and a 5-5-1 record in American Southwest Conference play.
