CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Blazers' Men's Soccer team is headed towards the end of the 2019 regular season and picked up a 3-1 win on the road at University of the Ozarks as they continue to make a push for postseason play.
Belhaven jumped out to an early lead when
Dalton Morgan scored in the 35th minute off an assist from
Tyler White. In the second half, the Blazers would add a second goal from a scored penalty by Morgan, his second of the game.
Belhaven's goal scoring would be capped off by
Tyler White in the 58th minute with an assist from
Nathan Ratzlaff. The Eagles would score late in the 75th minute but Belhaven would hold on for an important road win.
With the win, the Blazers move to 10-5-1 on the season and 4-5-1 in conference. With 13 points in conference play, they sit in 8th place in the ASC and two points behind both LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist University. Belhaven leads 9th place McMurry University by six points who are scheduled to play Mary Hardin-Baylor late Saturday night.Â
The Blazers have one final regular season match this year when they travel to Pineville, La. to face Louisiana College on Friday, November 1st. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.Â
