JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven University men's basketball team fell to the Concordia Tornados by a final score of 101-91 on Saturday evening inside of Rugg Arena, snapping the Blazers four-game winning streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second game in a row, Belhaven began the contest trailing by a double-digit deficit, falling behind Concordia 12-0 within the first three minutes of the contest.
- Near the midway point of the half, Concordia reached its largest lead of the game, 23-7. The momentum quickly began to shift in Belhaven's favor as the Blazers 28-10 run gave the Green and Gold a 35-33 lead after a John Works layup with 4:10 left until the break.
- Belhaven took its own double-digit lead with fifty-seven seconds left until the break before Concordia closed the half on a 5-1 run to cut the Belhaven halftime lead to 46-40.
- Concordia worked itself back into a manageable deficit entering the second half before regaining the lead, 53-52, just four minutes into the second half. Belhaven and Concordia remained in striking distance of one another for the majority of the half until Concordia began to gain separation from the Blazers around the seven-minute mark.
- Concordia utilized free throws down the stretch to defeat Belhaven by a final score of 101-91.

KEY STATISTICS
- Five Blazers had double digits points with John Works leading the way Saturday afternoon with 22 points. Brosnan Cooks finished behind Works with 14 points in the contest.
- Tommy McCoy concluded the game scoring 12 points, while Joseph Jones had 11 points and Kelvin Pruitt with 10 points. Pruitt finished second on the team with five rebounds, behind Joshua Roberts who ended with a team-high 10 rebounds, as well as seven assists.
- Belhaven was 27-of-44 (61.4%) from the field and 8-of-17 (47.1%) from three-point territory.
- As a team, Belhaven tallied 38 points in the paint and 35 points from the bench.
