HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – Belhaven took control of the game early and maintained a steady lead for most of the first half, finding themselves ahead over the Wildcats 23-13 with 13:33 left until halftime. The Blazers never trailed until the 8:48 mark in the first half, when the Wildcats took its first lead of the game after a layup to go up 32-31. Neither team led by more than a possession for the rest of the half, as both the Wildcats and Blazers, entered the break tied at 51-51.
Second Half – The second half did not go accordingly as the Wildcats went on a 24-4 run in the first eight minutes of the second half to take a 75-55 point lead. Belhaven managed to put up 17 more points on its way to falling to the Wildcats by a final score of 112-72.
