Hale's Last Minute Goal Forces OT, Blazers and Majors End in Tie

JACKSON, Miss - It took the full 90 minutes of regulation and two overtime periods for the Riverside Rumble of men's soccer to have it's final score. The Belhaven Blazers and Millsaps Majors fought down to the wire with a high level of intensity, as a total of ten yellow and red cards were given out in the match. 

Nail biting is another word that describes this matchup between the two cross-town rivals. Millsaps struck first with a goal in the 40th minute to take a 1-0 lead with the first half winding down. 

Belhaven struck in the second half with a 56th-minute goal from Lalesh Hadji to even the score at 1-1. Millsaps did not wait long to find the net again, scoring the go-ahead goal just three minutes later to regain a one-goal lead, 2-1.

Down 2-1 in the final minute of play, Belhaven's Alex Hale found the back of the net to tie the game up at 2-2 to force overtime. Hale's goal continued what is now his fourth consecutive game with a goal. 

Neither team could deliver the final goal to take the win resulting in a 2-2 decision. Millsaps and Belhaven each have a record of 1-2-1 overall after tonights contest.
