- UT Dallas struck first in the 7th minute of action on a header to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Comets stayed on the attack and added another goal 11 minutes later in the 17th minute.
- Less than a minute later, UTD found themselves with another opportunity to score and made it 3-0.
- The Blazers struggled to get shots on target throughout the match and were held scoreless at halftime.
- In the second half, UTD would score three more goals.
- The Comets scored their first goal of the half on a header in the 58th minute to make it 4-0.
- UT Dallas would punch in two more goals in the next six minutes to propel their lead out to 6-0.
