JACKSON, Miss - Belhaven men's soccer team played host to Louisiana College Saturday afternoon to begin American Southwest Conference play.
Lalesh Hadji helped put the Blazers on the board with a quick 7th-minute goal, giving the green and gold a 1-0 lead.
Midway through the first period of play, Louisiana College got a goal from Gabriel Lopes to tie the match up 1-1.Â
Eight minutes later, Jay Pinto of LC put the Wildcats on top 2-1 with a 32nd-minute goal.
With time winding down in regulation, Alejandro Forero found the back of the net to tie the game up at 2-2 with just eleven minutes remaining in the contest.
It took two overtime periods to settle the match, however the Blazers fell to the Wildcats 3-2 after LC's Evan Norwood scored the game winning goal in the 110th minute to give LC the victory.
