HOW IT HAPPENED
- Millsaps struck first with a three play, 29-yard drive midway through the first quarter to get on the board 6-0. Moments later the Majors converted on a two-point conversion to extend their lead to 8-0.
- Just before the end of the quarter Millsaps was able to successfully cross the goal line with a quick five play 75-yard drive to take a 15-0 lead.
- Midway through the second quarter, Millsaps nailed 30-yard field goal to take an 18-0 lead.
- Belhaven's offense struggled to gain momentum during the first half.
- The Blazers' defense found rhythm and shut down the Majors' offense in the entire second half and held them scoreless.
- Belhaven strung together a ten play 60-yard drive which was capped off with a 34-yard field goal from Ryan Lindsey.
- Belhaven had a couple of opportunities to capitalize in hopes to cut into the deficit but were unsuccessful.

KEY STATISTICS
- Punter Zach Shemmel flipped the field with great punts time after time to put the defense in a great position in the second half. He averaged 36.2 yards per punt.
- Joey Walden led all Blazer receivers with 3 catches for 49 yards including a 25-yard reception.
- Defensively, David Lewis registered a team high 11 tackles including 2.0 tackles for loss and one sack.
- Additionally, Lewis also recorded a team high eight solo tackles.
- Freshman cornerback, Phazion Locke had eight total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.
- Kenneth Carradine collected six total tackles with one tackle for loss and one sack.

UP NEXT
Belhaven will have a bye week next but will return to the Belhaven Bowl Stadium on September 15 against Texas Lutheran University. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
